Itinerary  


DAY 01:

On arrival in Delhi, You are met on arrival and transferred to your hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in New Delhi.


DAY 02:

Overnight stay at hotel in New Delhi. In the morning proceed for a sightseeing tour of the Old Delhi - a multi - layered city. Our first stop is the Red Fort built by the great Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan when he shifted his capital from Agra. A short drive brings us to the Great Mosque - The Jama Masjid. Drive on to see the memorial built for Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.

Afternoon Sightseeing tour of New Delhi includes a visit to the Qutub Minar - the tallest stone tower in India built in 1191 AD. Chhatarpur Temple - the most popular Hindu temple with blissful tranquility and serene ambience. Continue to Humayun's Tomb believed to have been designed by his widow.  Its plan is based on the description of Islamic paradise gardens and is known to have inspired the Taj Mahal and many later Mughal tombs. Also visit  the Bahai Temple - a lotus shaped structure. It is made of marble, cement, dolomite and sand. It is open to all faiths and is an ideal place for meditation and obtaining peace and tranquility.


DAY 03:

Overnight stay at hotel in Agra. Early morning transfer to New Delhi railway station to board Shatabdi Express for Agra.On arrival you are transferred to your hotel. Later in the day visit Taj Mahal - built by a grief-stricken emperor, Shah Jahan, as a memorial of eternal love for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, Agra Fort, Agra Fort which perhaps offers the most moving view of the Taj Mahal from its octagonal tower situated across the River Jamuna. Later visit Sikandra – Emperor Akbar’s tomb at Sikandra is a magnificent gateway, covered with floral and geometrical arabesque decoration in white and coloured marble. Four elegant Minarets surround the tomb.

DAY 04:

In the morning transfer to Agra Cantt railway station to board Shatabdi Express for Gwalior, on arrival transfer to hotel.

Afternoon sightseeing tour of Gwalior includes The Fort.Standing on a steep mass of sandstone, the Gwalior Fort is dominates the city and is its most magnificent monument. It has been the scene of momentous events: imprisonments, battles and Jauhars. A steep road winds upwards to the fort, flanked by statues of the Jain Tirthankaras. The magnificent outer walls of the fort still stand, two miles in length and 35 feet high, bearing witness to its reputation for being one of the most invincible forts of India. Gujari Mahal – Within the fort are some of the marvels of medieval architecture. The 15th century Gujari Mahal is a monument to the love of Raja Mansingh Tomar for his intrepid Gujar queen Mrignayani. Man Mandir Palace,was built between 1486 and 1517 by Raja Mansingh. At Suraj Kund ,though major portions of the fort were built in the 15th century, references to this gigantic complex can be traced back to 425 AD. Also visit the Tansen’s Tomb and Ghaus Mohammed’s Tomb.

Later in the evening we take you to the Fort where you can enjoy the Son-et-Lumiere or the sound & light show. Overnight stay at hotel in Gwalior.


DAY 05:

Overnight stay at hotel in Orchha. After breakfast we proceed for Orchha – Orchha’s grandeur has been captured in stone, frozen in time; a rich legacy to the ages, on arrival check-in at the hotel followed by sightseeing tour of Orchha. Visit Jahangir Mahal, Raj Mahal, Rai Praveen Mahal, Ram Raja Temple, Chaturbhuj Temple, Laxminarayan Temple and various Chhatris grouped along the Kanchna Ghat of the river Betwa, overnight stay.

DAY 06:

After breakfast drive to Khajuraho, on arrival check-in at the hotel.
Later proceed for an afternoon sightseeing tour of western and eastern group of temples.The Khajuraho temples were built in the span of a hundred years, from 950 - 1050 AD, in a truly inspired burst of creativity. Of the 85 original temples, 22 have survived till today to constitute one of the world’s great artistic wonders.    

The western group of temples include Kandariya Mahadeo Temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
. Other temples in the group are Chausath Yogini, Chitragupta, Vishwanath, Lakshmana, Matangeshwara, Devi Jagadamba, Parvati, Lakshmi and Varaha temples, each with its own history, presiding deity and points of interest.
The eastern group of temples consist of three... Jain temples in an enclosure and four others scattered around the old village of Khajuraho. The southern group has two temples – the Duladeo, which is fairly close to the Jain (eastern) group, and the Chaturbhuj temple, adorned with a huge, intricately carved image of Lord Vishnu.


DAY 07:

Morning at Leisure ,Later transfer to the airport for your flight to Delhi, assistance on arrival and transfer to International airport for your flight to onward destination.
